You Deserve Support…
That Feels Like a Deep Breath
Feeding your baby is one of the most personal, instinctual, and vulnerable things you’ll ever do. It’s also one of the most confusing. Whether you’re preparing to breastfeed, combo feed, pump, supplement, or wean — the expectations and opinions can feel endless.
That’s where I come in.
Hi, I’m Hannah.
I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Registered Dietitian (RD), have a MPH in Maternal and Child Health, and I’m a mom of three, based in Rougemont, NC. I’ve walked the road you’re on — professionally and personally. With 14+ years of clinical experience and the lived experience of feeding three very different babies, I bring a blend of clinical expertise, heartfelt compassion, and nonjudgmental support to every family I work with.
Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or somewhere in between, you deserve support that’s grounded in evidence, empathy, and lived experience.
My journey into lactation support started not only in the hospital and public health world — but in my own home, as a mom of three. I know the exhaustion and doubt that can creep in during those early feeding sessions, and I believe no one should walk that path alone.
I created this practice to offer families evidence-based, nonjudgmental support that honors your values, preferences, and goals. Whether you’re breastfeeding, combo feeding, pumping, bottle-feeding, or just trying to figure it all out — I’m here to walk beside you.
Why I Do This Work
After more than a decade supporting families at UNC Hospital — from NICU babies to outpatient postpartum visits — and years spent improving access to lactation and nutrition support in public health settings, I started my private practice in 2023.
I learned from the best of the best, sitting at the heels of Mary Rose Tully and Miriam Labbok in grad school, growing in my early years with the expert UNC LC’s, SLP’s & MD’s, and continuing today with my incredible Triangle area outpatient LC colleagues in private practice. I have also had the incredible opportunity to be a part of Dr Holman’s team, providing support to babies suspected to have lip and/or tongue ties. My clinical experience is backed by the kind of knowledge only parenthood can teach you: the midnight feeds, the doubt, the tears, the little wins, and the deep desire to do what’s best for your baby.
I created this practice to provide a space where families feel seen, supported, and informed — no matter how they feed.
What I Believe In
Every family deserves access to skilled lactation and feeding support.
Feeding is more than food — it’s bonding, survival, and identity.
There is no one right way. I support breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and combo feeding — without judgment.
Cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and consent guide my practice.
All bodies are good bodies.
Local Roots, Local Care
I’m proud to live and work in Rougemont, North Carolina and serve families throughout Durham County, Orange County, and the broader Triangle. I know the local hospitals, the area birth professionals, and the challenges local families face — because I’m a part of this community, too.
I am well-traveled North Carolina native who attend Meredith College in Raleigh, NC for undergrad and UNC Chapel Hill for my MPH in Maternal and Child Health.
